EP33CLV: Utilized to prevent galvanic corrosion
Master Bond's EP33CLV epoxy was successfully used to prevent galvanic corrosion in lightweight composite structures, particularly between AZ31B magnesium alloy and carbon fiber-reinforced composites (CFRCs). Researchers from Oak Ridge National Laboratory applied EP33CLV as an electrically insulating layer in bolted joints, which effectively inhibited corrosion by preventing direct contact between dissimilar metals. Read through this case study to learn more about EP33CLV’s role in enhancing the outcome of this application.
