Low Viscosity, Fast Curing, Two High Performance Optical Epoxy For Bonding, Sealing, Coating & Casting Featuring Excellent Chemical Resistance
Master Bond Polymer System EP39-2LV is a fast curing, lower viscosity, optically clear two component epoxy system for high performance bonding, sealing, coating and casting. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any diluents, solvents or other volatiles. The mix ratio is a convenient 2 to 1 by weight. EP39-2LV is very fast curing, even in very thing sections. Films as thin as 5 mil become tack free at ambient temperatures in only 3 hours and fully cure in 6-10 hours. The aforementioned film will even become tack-free at 40°F within 9 hours. Other desirable characteristics include resistance to blushing and exudation, good electrical insulation properties, high toughness, superior wear resistance and outstanding chemical resistance (see chart below). Service temperature range is -60°F to 300°F.
Master Bond Polymer System EP39-2LV is en exceptionally versatile system. Its marvelous optical clarity and light transmission properties make it an excellent candidate for many optical and fiber-optic applications including bonding, sealing, coating and casting. EP39-2LV bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including most metals, glass and plastics and is easy to apply by roller, brush or conventional spray equipment.
