Two component epoxy system for bonding and sealing
Key Features
- High temperature serviceability to +500°F
- Very good thermal conductivity
- Exceptionally long working life
- Easily applied
Product Description
Master Bond EP45AOHT is a two component thermally conductive, high temperature resistant epoxy for bonding and sealing. The mix ratio is a forgiving 100 to 30 by weight. Parts A and B are thixotropic pastes. lt is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. EP45AOHT does not cure at ambient temperatures and requires an elevated temperature cure. The optimum cure is 2-3 hours at 300°F followed by a post cure of 3-4 hours at 350°F. Although it is a thixotropic paste, it will flow slightly when being cured.
This epoxy combines high temperature resistance, thermal conductivity and good electrical insulation values. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, such as metals, glass, ceramics, composites and many plastics. It performs well in aggressive chemical environments including exposure to water, oils and fuels, as well as many acids and bases. Its service temperature range is -60°F to +500°F. The color of Part A is gray and Part B is off-white. Some other desirable features of this system include its dimensional stability and low shrinkage upon cure. EP45AOHT can be used in aerospace, electronic, specialty OEM, oil and gas processing, among other industries where high temperature resistance and thermal conductivity are requirements.
